A big HELLO and welcome! I’m Nikki Silk – a Brisbane-based Modern Pointillism Artist, Intuitive Creator, Crystal Lover, Spiritual Creator, Wife and very proud Fur-Baby Mumma to my beautiful senior pup, Moo.<\/p>\n

My creative journey has certainly taken a few unexpected turns over the years!<\/p>\n

For more than 20 years, I worked as a full-time Destination Wedding Photographer<\/a><\/span>, photographing more than 680 weddings and travelling to some incredible locations throughout Australia. Photography gave me the opportunity to build a career around creativity while developing my love of colour, light, landscapes, emotion and all those little details that make something visually beautiful.<\/p>\n

Then 2020 happened…<\/p>\n

With the world suddenly slowing down and travelling for weddings no longer possible, I found myself exploring another creative outlet – painting.<\/p>\n

What started as curiosity very quickly became something much bigger. I discovered a completely different way of expressing myself creatively, and in many ways it brought together parts of my life that had always existed alongside each other – Art, colour, crystals, spirituality, intuition, energy and manifestation.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

FROM PHOTOGRAPHER TO MODERN POINTILLISM ARTIST…<\/span><\/p>\n

Today, I create Original Artworks<\/a><\/span> using my own interpretation of Modern Pointillism, a style inspired by the Pointillism movement that originated in France and a connection I particularly love because of my own French heritage.<\/p>\n

My Artworks are created dot by dot, building layers of colour, pattern, texture and movement until each piece develops its own individual personality.\u00a0I rarely begin with a detailed plan or sketch. Instead, I tend to create intuitively, allowing colours, ideas and patterns to develop naturally as I work.<\/p>\n

My years travelling throughout Australia as a wedding photographer continue to influence my Art today. Coastal colours, incredible sunsets, earthy landscapes, tropical environments and the constantly changing colours of nature often find their way into my work without me consciously planning them.<\/p>\n

MORE THAN JUST ART…<\/span><\/p>\n

My spiritual side isn’t something that appeared when I became an Artist. It’s been part of my life for as long as I can remember.\u00a0I’ve experienced a strong connection with intuition, energy and Spirit since childhood, and over the years that connection naturally led me towards Oracle Cards<\/a><\/span>, crystals<\/a><\/span>, meditation, manifestation, affirmations, visualisation and energy practices.\u00a0Eventually I realised there was no reason to keep my creative and spiritual worlds separate.\u00a0They were both simply parts of me!<\/p>\n

Today, crystals, meditation, intention, sound and spiritual guidance often form part of my creative process. I love creating Artworks that aren’t simply chosen because they match the couch, but because someone feels genuinely drawn to the colours, movement, energy or feeling of a piece.<\/p>\n

HOW EVERYTHING CAME TOGETHER…<\/span><\/p>\n

As my business Nikki Silk has evolved over the past few years, I’ve found myself naturally bringing together all the things I’m most passionate about –\u00a0Art, Crystals, Spirituality, Creativity, Manifestation, Intuition,\u00a0 Mindfulness & Energy.<\/span><\/p>\n

Today, you’ll find my Original Artworks<\/a><\/span> and Custom Artwork Commissions<\/a><\/span> alongside Crystal Tumbles & Raw Specimens<\/a><\/span> and intuitively curated Crystal Bundles<\/a><\/span>. I also offer Personalised Online Oracle Card Readings<\/a><\/span>, Manifestation eBooks<\/a><\/span> and Resources, and a growing range of Private and Public Events & Experiences<\/a><\/span> combining Art, crystals, meditation, mindfulness and spiritual connection. They may seem like very different things, but to me they’re all connected by the same underlying philosophy.<\/p>\n

I believe the energy we surround ourselves with, the thoughts we choose, the intentions we set and the way we connect with ourselves can influence how we feel, how we live and what we create in our lives. And perhaps one of the biggest things my own journey has taught me is that you don’t have to stay on one path forever.<\/p>\n

You CAN change direction! You CAN discover something new! You CAN reinvent yourself! You CAN follow an unexpected opportunity! And you ABSOLUTELY CAN be a late bloomer! <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Sometimes the path you never planned to take turns out to be exactly where you were meant to go.<\/p>\n
