Can’t find exactly the right piece for your space? Maybe you’ve found an Artwork you love, but it’s the wrong size, the colours don’t quite work with your home, or you have something completely different in mind. Your home should feel like YOU, and the Artwork you choose can completely change the look, feel and energy of a room.

That’s where a Custom Artwork comes in!

Perhaps you have a particular colour palette you’d like me to work with, an empty wall desperately waiting for the right statement piece, or an existing Nikki Silk Artwork that you love and would like me to use as inspiration for something new. You might want something bold, colourful and full of energy, or something softer, calmer and more grounding. You don’t need to know exactly what the finished Artwork should look like – that’s my job!

We’ll start with your ideas, your space and what you’re naturally drawn to, and I’ll use those as inspiration to create an original Modern Pointillism Artwork especially for you.

I love creating one-of-a-kind Artworks specifically for the person and space they’re going to belong to. A Custom Artwork gives us the opportunity to create something completely unique – designed around your preferred colours, size, style and the overall look and energy you’d love to bring into your space.

CREATED DOT BY DOT…

My Artworks are created using my own interpretation of Modern Pointillism, building each piece through layers of colour, texture and individually applied dots and details.

I don’t simply copy an existing Artwork – even my own. Every piece develops individually as I paint, which means your commissioned Artwork will always be an original, one-of-a-kind creation.

If you’re inspired by one of my previous Artworks, I can use elements such as its colour palette, composition, style or overall feel as inspiration, but your finished piece will have its own individual character.

CREATED WITH ENERGY & INTENTION…

For me, creating Art isn’t just about finding colours that look beautiful together. I’m also very conscious of how colour, movement and intention can influence the way a space feels.

My Artworks are created with positive intention and energy throughout the painting process. If there is a particular feeling or energy you’d like to bring into your space – perhaps calm, happiness, abundance, confidence, grounding or positive energy – we can incorporate that intention into the creative process too.

The result is an Artwork created not only for your space, but with consideration for how you’d like that space to feel.

GIVING SOMETHING PRE-LOVED A NEW LIFE…

Wherever possible, I create my Artworks using carefully selected recycled and pre-loved canvases and frames. I source them through second-hand markets, Op Shops, Tip Shops and Marketplace, and I’m also incredibly lucky to have unwanted canvases and frames gifted to me by neighbours, family, friends and members of my local community. It means the canvas your Artwork is created on may already have had a completely different life before it reaches my studio – and I absolutely love that!

Rather than unnecessarily sending something to landfill, I get the opportunity to transform it into something completely new, beautiful and original while incorporating my philosophy of Reduce, Reuse & Recycle into the way I create.

You don’t need to arrive with the whole Artwork planned out. You might have a specific vision, a few colours you love, a photograph of your room, an Artwork of mine you’re drawn to – or simply an empty wall and absolutely no idea where to start! That’s completely fine!

Creating a Custom Artwork is a collaborative process. We’ll talk about your ideas, colours, preferred size, your space and what you’re hoping to achieve, and from there I can help bring everything together.

The most exciting part is knowing that when it’s finished, your Artwork belongs only to you. It has been created for your home, your space and your energy – and there will never be another one exactly like it!

If you’d like to discuss your Custom Artwork with me before getting started, I offer a range of Personalised Consultation options so you can choose the one that works best for you.

ON-SITE DESIGN CONSULTATION

For a more personalised approach, I can come to you and view the space where your Artwork will eventually hang. This gives me the opportunity to see the room, surrounding décor, natural light and available wall space in person, helping us determine what may work best within your home or workspace.

On-Site Design Consultations are available Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 4:00om and Saturday 8:00am to 10:00am

The Fee for this service is $250 for Brisbane Locations, or $350 for Sunshine Coast/Gold Coast Locations. A Tax Invoice will be provided to you at the time of booking.

IN-PERSON WORKSHOP VISIT

Come and visit me at my Balmoral Studio for a relaxed, 30 minute In-Person Studio Visit where we can sit down together and start bringing your Custom Artwork ideas to life.

You’ll have the opportunity to step inside my creative space, see examples of my Modern Pointillism work up close and explore the colours, textures and materials I use to create my Artworks.

We can also look through the pre-loved canvases and frames I currently have available, which is perfect if you’re unsure what size or shape might work for your Custom Artwork. Seeing the canvases in person can make it much easier to visualise the possibilities and choose one that feels right for your space.

Your Studio Visit also gives us dedicated time to discuss any questions you have about your Custom Artwork or the commission process before deciding how you’d like to proceed.

In-Person Studio Visits are available Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 4:00om and Saturday 8:00am to 10:00am

There is NO FEE for this service.

If you’d prefer to keep things simple, we can arrange a Phone Consultation. This is a convenient option if you already have a general idea of what you’re looking for or would simply prefer to discuss your Custom Artwork without an in-person appointment.

Whichever option you choose, your consultation gives us dedicated time to discuss your commission, answer any questions you may have and make sure we’re both on the same page before I begin creating your Artwork.

BYO CANVAS? GIVE YOUR OLD CANVAS A NEW LIFE!

Do you have a canvas sitting in your home or office that you no longer love, doesn’t suit your décor anymore, or simply isn’t working in your space?

Don’t throw it away – let’s transform it into something completely new!

I absolutely LOVE taking pre-loved canvases and breathing new life into them by transforming them into beautiful, original, one-of-a-kind Artworks.

Using your own canvas is also a fantastic option if you already know that its size and proportions work perfectly in your space. Instead of trying to find another canvas with exactly the right dimensions, we may be able to use what you already have and completely transform the Artwork itself.

Not every canvas is suitable for repainting, so I’ll need to inspect your canvas before I can confirm whether I’m able to use it. You’re welcome to bring it to my workshop for me to take a look, and if it’s in good condition and suitable for my painting process, I can use it to create your very own Custom Nikki Silk Artwork.

And of course, there’s something I particularly love about this option – instead of an unwanted canvas potentially ending up in landfill, we’re giving it an entirely new purpose and another life.

IS YOUR CANVAS SUITABLE?

For me to be able to create a new Artwork over your existing canvas, it needs to provide a suitable surface to work with.

Your canvas must be clean, smooth, level and tightly stretched over its frame.

Unfortunately, I cannot use canvases that are broken, punctured, ripped, badly damaged, loose or unevenly stretched, embossed, heavily textured, or have raised elements that cannot be removed.

Please note: I don’t repair, re-stretch or re-frame existing canvases. Your canvas must be structurally sound and suitable for painting before I can accept it for a Custom Artwork.
