INSPIRATION BEHIND THIS ARTWORK…

Inspired by a recent trip to Stanthorpe, this artwork captures the magical beauty of the region’s enormous granite boulders as they glowed beneath the warmth of the setting sun. Layered earthy tones and soft flowing patterns reflect the rugged natural landscape, while intricate dot textures throughout the piece echo the weathered surfaces and organic details found within the stone formations. I wanted this artwork to embody the stillness, warmth, and quiet wonder of watching the landscape slowly transform as the evening light settled across the boulders.
