Inspired by an early morning hike at Adder Rock on North Stradbroke Island, this artwork captures the breathtaking moment the sunrise illuminated the coastline in warm earthy tones. The layered landscape and sweeping waterways reflect the quiet beauty of the island as the day slowly began, while the intricate dot textures throughout the piece mirror the rhythm and energy of nature awakening. I wanted to express the feeling of standing in complete stillness, surrounded by fresh ocean air, warmth, and the peaceful magic that comes with watching the sun rise over the landscape.
