INSPIRATION BEHIND THIS ARTWORK…

Inspired by my travels to Daydream Island and the breathtaking sunrise views between the islands in the neighbouring Whitsunday Islands, this artwork captures the warmth, stillness, and natural beauty of the coastline as the first light of day spreads across the water. Flowing organic forms and intricate dot detailing reflect the movement of the ocean weaving between the islands, while earthy golden tones evoke the glow of the rising sun across the landscape. I wanted this piece to embody a sense of peace, wonder, and connection to the serene beauty of the Whitsunday’s horizons.
